It's a short list, but I'm working on it.
My fiction tends to run on the darker side. Even the comedy, which I prefer as black as my soul.
You can find my short stories and flash fiction in Dread Naught but Time; Christmas Lites VIII; Adverbially Challenged, Volume 3; Writings to Stem Your Existential Dread; 72 Hours of Insanity, volumes 2 and 3; Ironology 2017; Literary Orphans Journal; and Foliate Oak Literary Magazine.
Non-fiction: Dread Naught but Time introduction, ChiWriMo blog, Writer's Workout blog, Hungry? Chicago (editor), and Hungry? Chicago: Family.
It seems it's easier to get a readership on Facebook these days, so I created an author page there at facebook.com/jenniferworrellwrites. However, the more expressive articles will be archived here as well.
In another life, I wrote for a blog hosted by Hungry City Guides. I had a semi-regular column called The Tightwad's Table, which featured restaurants offering entrées at $10 or less per person. Eventually, the blog petered out and died.
As I began archiving these articles*, I realized that nearly all the restaurants I wrote about, except those in
The Tightwad's Table segments, had gone out of business. I decided to reboot this theme and start fresh. After I moved on from Hungry?, I thought, why stop there? With this economy, we're all looking for more cheap eats.
I tried this for a minute before I was unceremoniously fired. Did you know "don't call us, we'll call you" can be used outside of Hollywood?
